What is Magic Juice?

In a nutshell... 24+ Chinese herbs brewed to extract the properties in an alcohol base. This External Herbal Spray for Pain can be sprayed on areas of pain, injury (not on broken skin) and swelling with profound healing and relieving results.

It is based on a traditional Chinese formula similar to the types used in Martial Arts discipline. This formula has been culled and tailored to be as balanced as I could get it. Hence, the 24+ Chinese herbs that are involved are varied and all quite specific to properties that achieve this balance. For those in the lingo... there are blood movers and builders, Qi builders and movers as well as herbs that move dampness & herbs for deep and ongoing pain.

What does that mean to you?

It means that acute trauma and chronic pain both benefit from the formula. While the formula does not deliver the heating or cooling sensations of many pain products the power of this formula is that it is terrifically 'moving' & invigorating. In Chinese medicine we say If there is no flow there is pain. An idea not exclusive to Chinese medicine... if you have swelling there is always some discomfort or pain if only from that swelling. This formula gets that flow going again...quickly. This formula is designed to invigorate, alleviate pain, heal and speed recovery.

What do you use it for? PAIN & HEALING

As I finished this product before I began my internship I had the product ready to give to darn near every client I met in my time as an intern. Frankly, they were all glad to be a part of the 'test run' as I introduced and tinkered with the formulation. We found that aches, pains, sprains, strains, bumps, bruises...potential or otherwise benefitted. Some use it before and after vigorous exercise. It delivers powerful relief properties when you have ‘overdone’ your exercise, gardening or other physical activities. We saw results with edema, varicose veins, goiter, cysts, lympomas, neuropathy, sport injuries, back pain, shoulder pain, elbow and wrist pain, arthritis pain, pain from overuse. We tried it on darn near everything but  it is not for use on open wounds. The patients with more serious health issues causing some of their symptoms don't stop their other treatment routines but found this a great additive to their lives for the comfort they could get from ongoing symptoms and for many they could reduce the adjunct pain pills they were taking.

How do you Use it?

Spray it on. For your acute injury the closer to the injury you can use the product the better the results. Just slam your toe into the coffee table again? ... spray Magic Juice on immediately. Keep it up that night two or three times and then repeat into the next day as you need.

Patients with chronic pain who become dutiful users found the most relief. Repeating the application for them became incidental. One client made the observation that it was, "better than popping a pill each time my arthritis flairs." Another favorite client who suffered disfiguring arthritis summed it up this way, "Jeepers that stuff works fast... one little spritz on this neck of mine and it really helps."

How often do you use it?

Your condition and pain will tell you how often and how much to use... more pain, more product, more often. Our packaging suggests three times a day for convenience, however, in acute trauma I often soak a gauze and place on the area to be treated, wrap or cover loosely with some plastic... (we want the herbs going into you not the hot pack) then cover with a warm rice pack or mild heating pad for 20 minutes. This can be repeated a few times in a row for maximum dosing at the point of injury catching swelling and inflamation in the act. I use this sort of treatment when I am treating all sorts of injury or pain in the office. For chronic and acute pain in my office I often place this "pack" on the client as we do our intake for 20 minutes or so. I am convinced that the area is more receptive to the needle work we then do and the client often leaves pain free.

What else to know??

Many obvious cautions... it is for EXTERNAL use only. So keeping it away from the kids is advisable and don't go trying to drink it yourself. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds. I have seen good results on incect bites and the like but this isn't for gaping wounds. You can use it around the area but not directly on.

It is an alcohol based (not food grade) product so some may notice skin irritation. For most a little oil mixed with the product or added before of after to the area will cut the irritation. I suggest this for massage therapists who use the product. When working with folks who need lots of cleansing in the rub down this is a great add. I had a marathoner post run who swears by the recovery he experiences by using Magic Juice in his running routine before and after runs and whenever he just knows he did a bit much that day. For some the strong pitches and resins in the formula may also irritate skin and you can try the same solution of some oil to soften the presentation. Some of my mentors have suggested a little aggravation in the area simply suggests we are effecting change.

Use your good judgement. If you get any irritation that does not subside with the oil you should discontinue use. As this is an herbal product you may have allergy to any of the ingredients.

Staining with Magic Juice is greatly reduced by the new formulation. I have had some discoloration on some clothing but find a bit of spot treating on concentrated spills and general washing seems to clean up clothing and toweling but you may want to be careful on your favorites where contact is amplified... neck area, shirt cuffs and areas where rubbing on the skin is constant.
